Amie's Sunshine Kitchen
I follow the principles of all organic, vegetarian, seasonal, regional and as local as possible for my meals. It is important to me to be mindful and aware in the kitchen, attentive to the energies of the people for whom I am cooking, the food itself and the atmosphere in which I am cooking.
Cooking is something that I love very much. I love to be creative with food, to try out new combinations of spices and vegetables, and to serve and share meals with others. The laughter, friendship and warmth that come with sharing food is one of life’s greatest joys!
I am influenced by Heidi Swanson, my own Tex-Mex roots, Selina Gullery, Casa de Luz in Austin, Texas, Yotam Ottolenghi, and the many countries I’ve traveled to, lived in, learned from and tasted from.
